What does that mean? That means, does it stand up to the likes of a Sabertrio or Vader's Vault, in terms of flawless sound and features? Not quite. But those are also $600 lightsabers. Kyberlight does a great neopixel saber for the money, and I do mean great. It's adaptable (I've already added 15 different new soundfonts), and has fun features like the multi-lock and multi-block modes that detect your "accent swing" movements and make the appropriate blaster block or blade lock-up sounds, as is appropriate. That means, you can have it as a piece to collect, or you (or your kiddo) can really play with it, which is awesome.
My only gripe is a soft one, and that's the speaker. The V10 needs a good bass speaker, with good dynamic range, and it doesn't have it. In fact, it might be true that the V5 had a better speaker. I can't use mine at higher that 50% volume, or the sounds just clip out and sound fuzzy. I have found the best way to get the best sound quality/bass out of mine is to keep the pommel off, and keep the volume relatively low. But it's still cool.
This is a awesome lightsaber. My one complaint would be there needs to be a option for different blade lengths or sell them as accessory's I have 4 Kyberlightsabers and about 7 blades some of them I have cut down to be a more usable size
I owned a v4 for several years and when it died, I was thinking of getting a new one when the v10 was announced. My daughter is getting into lightsabers these days, and I wanted a functional one so I decided to purchase the Kyber-Pixel. And I have to say that I'm impressed. Much brighter, and the sound is crisper. Like others have mentioned, it has a pretty steep learning curve. I'm eagerly awaiting the app for Bluetooth control, but in the meantime I'll stick with learning all the quirks. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, and would recommend to anyone to buy one as well.
Being an owner of a V5 for about a year, this was an excellent upgrade that I've thoroughly enjoyed. However, the learning curve has been steep. Some features are not properly explained im either the intro video or user manual; for example, I am still flumoxed on how "multiclash" mode is supposed to function. Furthermore, many of the onboard fonts were not optimized for use with RGB sabers and are not properly set up out of the box. But it is easy enough to add new fonts and program them to do exactly what you want. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it.
New designed body, buttons, charge port and Neopixel blade are wonderful upgrades. The new lighting and effects are also so fun to play with makes the upgrade worth it. However a few quirks… you can over twist the lower body of hilt and misalign the attached sleeve to the buttons. Volume control is ways easier to use but always defaults to 100% when powered off and on again. RGB mode needs an adaptor that was not advertised and sold separately. Clash mode is sometimes difficult to turn off. A steep learning curve from the V5. But a wonderful direction in design for Kyberlight sabers.
